- Application Fees:
- Application fee of $220 to be paid online by Master Card, Visa, or American Express.
- Please note that this application fee is non-refundable and application will not be evaluated until the correct fee has been received.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- A 4 yr bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the international equivalent is required to apply. (International applicants with a three-year degree from an accredited institution are eligible to apply)
- Yale strongly encourages applicants to have full-time work-experience but it is not a requirement. The incoming students have an average of 3 to 5 years of work experience.
- A GMAT or GRE score is must. No minimum score is required for admission but average GMAT score of current class is 722.
- TOEFL/PTE Academic or IELTS score is required only if English is not the primary language of instruction at your degree-granting undergraduate or graduate institution.

Please answer each of the four (4) questions below with a short paragraph of no more than 150 words. This is an opportunity to distill your core ideas, values, goals and motivations into a set of snapshots that help tell us who you are, where you are going professionally, and why. (600 words total)

- Why are you choosing to pursue an MBA? (If you plan to use your Yale MBA to make a significant change in the nature of your career, please tell us what you have done to prepare for this transition.)
- The intentions of our students to engage in a broad-minded business school community and to connect to an eminent and purposeful university greatly influences the Yale MBA experience. How do you plan to be involved in the Yale SOM and greater Yale communities as a student?

Personal Statement 1
Choose one (1) of the following topics and answer it in essay form. Please indicate the topic number at the beginning of your essay. (500 words maximum)
- At the Yale School of Management, we believe the world needs leaders who:
- Understand organizations, teams, networks and the complex nature of leadership;
- Understand markets and competition in different contexts; and
- Understand the diversity of economies throughout the world and the relationships between business and society.
- What experiences have you had that demonstrate your strength in one or more of these areas?
- What is the most difficult feedback you have received from another person or the most significant weakness you perceive in yourself? What steps have you taken to address it and how will business school contribute to this process?
- Imagine yourself meeting your learning team members for the first time in Orientation. What is the most important thing your teammates should know about you?
- Required for reapplicants: What steps have you taken to improve your candidacy since your last application?

Supporting Documents:
- Academic: -
- Applicant does not need to submit the official, paper transcripts or corresponding degree certifications to apply.
- Yale SOM allows applicants to upload scanned transcripts and degree certificates or submit them using their special fax submission system.
- If admitted, candidate will need to submit official transcripts and degree certifications to enroll.
- The degree certificate must indicate the type of degree conferred the institution/location from which you received the degree and the date of degree confirmation. All offers of admission are conditional on the receipt and verification of official transcripts.
- Non-English transcripts should be translated into English. If your institution does not provide an English translation with the transcript, please obtain a notarized English translation.
- Candidate should report their GPA on whatever scale is used by their school. Please do not convert it to a four-point scale.
- If GPA is not reported on my transcript, applicant should not calculate it for the application.
- Recommendations/Evaluations:
- The two professional recommendation forms are required.
- School prefers that at least one recommendation comes from a current supervisor or manager.
- Select recommenders who know you well and can speak to your strengths.
- Recommendation forms can be emailed to recommenders from the online application.
- GMAT or GRE:
- GMAT/GRE scores are valid for five years.
- Applicants should request official GMAT scores reports through mba.com or GRE through ETS.org.
- For Gmat use code 3TJ-BX-45 or for GRE use code 3986.
- English Proficiency:
- TOEFL, PTE Academic, or IELTS exam is required for applicants, regardless of citizenship, whose degree-granting undergraduate and graduate institutions were not taught in English.
- No minimum TOEFL, PTE Academic, and IELTS scores to apply, to be competitive, an applicant should have a TOEFL score of at least 100 on the Internet-based test, a PTE Academic score of at least 70, or an IELTS score of at least 7.
- In very limited instances, Yale SOM may waive the TOEFL, PTE Academic, or IELTS requirement for individuals who would otherwise be required to take the exam. If you feel that you may qualify for a waiver, please write a letter explaining the basis for your waiver request and send it tomba.admissions@yale.edu.
- Test scores are valid for two years.
- Have your official score report sent directly to the Yale School of Management. Applicant can request TOEFL score reports through www.toefl.org (use the Yale institution code 3986).
Interview:
- An interview is required to be admitted to the Yale School of Management.
- Interviews are by invitation of the Admissions Committee. If applicant is invited to interview, he/she will be notified by email.
- School tries to extend invitations as early as possible; it may be extended as late as the admissions decision deadline.
- The timing of the interview invitation has no bearing on the outcome of the application.
- Once applicant has been invited to interview, his/her online status will change to "Interview Requested" and he/she will be able to schedule an interview online at that time.
Application Status :
- Once application is submitted online, applicant can check the online status by signing in the application.
- School can take time to process materials, so applicant should allow two (2) weeks following an application deadline for materials that were submitted separately to be reflected on the status page of the application.
- If the application is still incomplete four weeks after the application deadline, school will email applicant to know about it.
