"Business has two primary drivers - marketing and innovation" I avidly support this idea because the last century epitomized these two virtues. I believe this millennium is going to herald the increasing integration of the both to solve the socio-economic problems of the global world. In my career, I have tried to infuse the spirit of innovation into my work and a sensitive approach to its scalability, by earning an Olin MBA degree; I would be imbibing the effective management of technology which would help me evolve my overall professional expertise.
Hailing from a business family and my tryst ...................................... of a business model and the ability of an individual which can lead to transforming a grim situation into a success. Embodying six years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry has helped me gain a command over technological and functional areas but a grasp over efficient management is a field yet to be succeeded. During my initial tenure of 11 months at xxxx, I was a part of a 34 member onshore team that delivered Single Insurance Platform (SIP) for xxxx retail and institutional Insurance products (Exceed). This involved getting client inputs for critical Billing and collections systems which was a backbone of the financials within xxxxx online system. My inner urge drove me to learn xxxx insurance business and helped me to apply my technical skills to build a pragmatic system. To make software deliveries happen, I had to interact with teams at xxxxxx, Ireland. I was awarded xxxxxxxx in August 2007 and Star Performer of the xxxxx in March, 2009 for my all round performance at xxxx India and an offshore lead role in ..........project on my return to xxxxx, Noida, India.
Further, my 17 months lead role within ................., I worked closely on integrating the client requirements, deliveries and small enhancements within a team of 18 offshore members as an offshore delivery model. In addition to applying my technical expertise imbibed during my previous projects within xxxxxxxxx, this relatively new work of line gave me opportunities to develop my leadership skills. I developed the discipline to work towards my vision single-mindedly and direct my actions as well as my team towards the goal. My professional growth can be attributed to an amalgamation of technical excellence, hard work, innovative thinking and meticulous implementation. Being proactive in identifying skill requirements and self assessing my ability to meet upcoming challenges helped my career progression. Effective coordination with the client, resolving critical and day to day software errors, defining scope for small enhancements and learning KAP (Knowledge Acquisition Plans) within the team are some major areas which I focused on.
In 2009, another opportunity knocked my door, it initiated me to work xxxxxxxxxxxx for a testing coordinator role, this required me to understand the new requirements for the Performance aspects of product 'Exceed' for its Client Aviva. It was an exciting project for me to work on and gave me ample prospect to apply my analytical and problem solving skills but there wasn't a formal chance to build my core management skills. My experience xxxxxxxxxxxxxx taught me that for success in today's business world one needs to have a global perspective and hopefully Olin MBA Program will help me achieve a strong emphasis on the core managerial skills.
My technology background provides me with a strong hold on analysis, but I believe an MBA will provide me with a tool kit to evaluate conditions, dependencies and risks profoundly.
